Sagana Resort Nice place to stay, surfing is the deal, Jerry will steer ya right, and Cloud 9 is practically at your doorstep.
Cheri Nicole’s Nice accommodations, and very cool pool. Pretty good food. Inexpensive, but will need a habal habal lift (15 mins) to Cloud 9. Same availability of pump boats to other breaks as everyone else.
Pansukian Resort CLASS ACT! If momma doesn't’t surf, and you want to leave her well taken care of while you do, this is the place. A bit pricey by local standards, but you get what you pay for. Great meals, activities, Privacy, SECURITY, with the nicest accommodations and setting you could imagine. I believe prices start at $140 per person, for double occupancy, and goes up from there. If you need it, they can arrange it…. From special dietary needs to a chopper.
101 is another nice place for surfers with an eye for Cloud 9, but I couldn't’t find a web site for them except the Surigao site below that has information. Except as listed, you may want to confirm that any other choices have flushing toilets if you want one, or at least toilet seats, and that you’re going to get one…. before booking. Air conditioning (aircon) isn’t a given either…, no matter how together the web site looks.
To Really Get Away From The Crowds and still have some comforts and surf a boat ride away, check out Tarzan's.
Tons of Resorts There is someplace for every budget. And if yours is on the very tight side, I'd recommend Joy & Acuy's, in the Cloud 9 area, or Jade Star, far from the bustle towards Malinao.
A travel tip……. Schedule backwards. It may save precious time you could have spent surfing. The boat from Surigao to Dapa,
(the port of entry for Siargao Island, if coming to General Luna, Cloud 9, Daku, etc) leaves around 11:30 am. So grab a ferry or flight out of Manila or Cebu that arrives well before then when possible. If flying into Surigao you're going to have to boogie, no stopping for coffee. Better to make arrangements to have a van meet you, even though there's usually some there. They may have to make stops and you don't have time. Bring pesos! There are no atms or money changers on Siargao Island, and
you will lose the best part of a day going to Surigao and back to get some..........at a minimum.
